Guest guest
BlankCould someone explain why babies are required to take the Pediarix 5 in 1 shots? My grandson was given the first of a series of these " vaccines " and the side effects of the first series, were fussiness, sleepiness and didn't eat as well, for a few days, after receiving this first, shot. He also ran a temp for awhile but is back to normal. What viruses are in these vaccines? I don't see why it's necessary to have them. How much mercury is in this " booster " shot? The doctor went ahead and gave the shot without my daughter's permission, according to her. Neither parent has any diseases, such as Hepatitus B, so don't see any beneficial reason for having to take it. Would like someone's opinion on this. Thanks! Guest guest
My opinion is that you all should educate yourselves on vaccines before allowing them to be injected, and if your daughter did not give prior permission, she should file a complaint with the state's physician review board. The below links will give you more information. You are not required to vaccinate, only suggested. There is no mandatory law that citizens of this nation must be vaccinated. There are attempted penalties for refusing to vaccinate (attempts to refuse admission for public school, etc) but not punishment, like prison or fines. http://www.pediarix.com/ www.safeminds.com http://www.vaccinesafety.edu/ My first child, born 1997, is fully vaccinated and perfectly healthy. My second child, 1999, is completely vaccinated and was injured by hepB and developed autism. My third child, 2002, is completely unvaccinated and is healthy, other than chronic ear infections. At this time I choose to refrain from all vaccines and use my state's code for religious exemption when the issue arises. Guest guest
Debi: Thanks for your reply. I had talked to my daughter about vaccines and my concerns about mercury because I am very concerned about the medications being pushed on children for ADD and whatever alphabet " disorder " that is labeled on them. I tend to think that boys will be boys so if they fidget, then Ritalin is pushed upon them, and if that doesn't work, a new drug is presented, and so on. My daughter has been made fearful of " diseases " , especially lately, due to all the new viruses and diseases being discussed, by the media. She feels if she doesn't vaccinate her baby, then he will " get " whatever -- the latest " crisis " is, out there. I've shown her what the ingredients are, in the Pediarix, and that is just as frightening. Now we're both, very worried. How many vaccines are required before children enter school? I have told her about the religious exemption. She is afraid to go through with this and is afraid not to. After reading what is in these concoctions, if it was up to me, I'd say, no. I have read there are monkey viruses and other animal- " things " in some of these vaccines. My grandson is only 3 months old. Is he old enough to " tolerate " this medication??? How are we to know the 'age' of these vaccines? Sorry to hear about your child getting autism. Do they ever recover from that?? I've seen movies about autism. Is it anything like what we have seen on television? I don't EVER want my grandchild's life ruined, due to poor? decisions and over-medicatation. Where do I find the laws for each, state, concerning vaccinations? Guest guest
, I know just how your daughter feels. Before Allie I thought it was crazy NOT to vaccinate. And, we are taught from such a young age that physicians are almost God. What I did was research each disease being vaccinated against. You can go to www.cdc.gov and search for the current vaccine recommendations. From there, you can research each disease history. For example, I researched the way of transmission and number of diptheria cases each year from the DaPT vaccine. Like hepB, it's transmitted by blood. Unless your 3 mo old grandson is an IV drug user or has intercourse with other infants (yes, this is meant tongue-in-cheek) then with the exception of perhaps your daughter sleeping around or doing IV drugs and breastfeeding him, his risk of transmissing hepB is virtually 0. If he attends daycare then there is a slight increase because of sanitation, or lack thereof. You would have to see the actual vials at the ped's office to know the age of the vaccine. You can also ask for a package insert of each vaccine your grandson is about to be injected with, to see if thimerosal is in the vaccine. However, it might be inaccurate, and the insert does not insure that the nurse properly shook/stirred the vial prior shot. There are some sites out there dedicated to these matters of state exemption practices, but I'm not smart enough to know where they are. You have to become an advocate. Your daughter has to get angry enough about her son's health to be willing to go against the medical establishment. It is scary either way. I won't pretend I'm always comfortable that Dinah isn't vaccinated. I worry often that she might get ill, pertussis in particular. I still might vaccinate her, I'm not completely against ever doing it. But, what I am against is being roped into something out of fear or ignorance. Docs should really leave these decisions up to parents, rather than pushing an opinion without conferring with parents first.
