Hi ,

That does sound like a great book. I can't believe you actaully

found a book about childbirth that even mentions MA's. That is a

rare find. I remember looking through the index (for any mention of

MA's) of all the pregnancy / childbirth books at the library when I

was pregnant the first time and feeling pretty despondant. Which was

why I felt that I had stumbled into a goldmine when I found this

group! I am definitely going to look at this book for my next

pregnancy.

So Audrey is a stubborn one like my Sol with her positioning! I

am sure you recall my anxieties over this during my pregnancy with

Sol. It was a major learning experience for me in letting go and

accepting that he would come into the world the way HE wanted! My

advice is to learn as much as possible about c-section planning (pre

and post) as well as about natural childbirth. Having the knowledge

that I was possibly, then probably, then definitely having a c-

section made such a difference in our experience. I have no regrets

and would not change one moment about that day. Not to say

that Audrey won't turn for you, but my feeling is that being prepared

for whatever may happen can make the birth experience so much more

special.

As Sol approaches his first birthday, I am finding myself thinking a

lot about the last weeks of my pregnancy, this time last year.

Although I know how pregnancy can feel like forever, especially when

we have so many things to worry about, remember to enjoy this time

when she is still inside of you. Trust me, this time next year you

going to look at your little girl and wonder how she can be growing

up so fast!

Well, this got quite off-topic and probably belongs on the MA cafe

but I'm happy to see your post. I think about you and Audrey often,

and I am so excited for you.

Take care,

SU resected, bicollis
