Guest guest Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 You're both in my prayers, Pam. I know you'll be at the hospital alot, but please have someone keep us up to date. ((((hugs))) Kathy Please Please Pray for My This has been a long night....About 8PM broke into a horrid sweat and asked me to get him a cold towel, so I did.....He was laying in his recliner....He was so cold and clammy....He went to sit forward and was horribly dizzy so I made him sit back in his chair....Then all of a sudden he started vomiting and couldn't stop, so I called 911....When the paramedics got here his pulse was between 140 - 150 and very irregular....They did a strip on him and told me they wanted to get him to the closest hospital as soon as possible, so they took him....My d-i-l came and got me and we went to the hospital.....He looked so bad....He was in atrial fib and the heart was beating between 130 - 160.....We sat there with him while he slept in the ER....Then all of a sudden the heart monitor went crazy with nothing but large lines going up and down....I called the nurse, and they chased us out, saying he was in V-Tach....Said they were going to have to shock the heart....I was hysterical and Lana, my d-i-l, took me outside so I could have a cigerette....When we came back in there were still 5 people in with him....They had given him two different meds, and all of a sudden his heart went back to a normal sinus rythum.....Even the doctor was surprised at how fast it went back to normal....Well, needless to say, he is in the hospital and the doctor was under the impression that he always had an abnormal rythum....We finally got thru to him that he has never been on medication for this and never told he had this.....All the doctor said was that he was under the impression he had, and he said this makes a big difference.....I am so scared, but I insisted that I be left at home alone....The doctor said this could happen again and they need to find out why it happened at all.....His normal heart doctor will see him in the morning....Please, please keep him in your prayers.....I can't lose my ....What would I do without him.....Pam NASH Website http://www.liver-nash.com/ Join NASH-Non-Alcoholic-Steatohepatitis-subscribe Unsubscribe NASH-Non-Alcoholic-Steatohepatitis-unsubscribe Please visit our website at:http://ACES_Autoimmune.tripod.com Quote

I know I couldn't stand to think of it happening to my husband even after such a short time together. I know how much you two love each other and care for each other. Just continue to give him all the love you can and I know he will do the same for you even in his illness. Also know that our love also surrounds you both. Guest guest Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Thank you Jane.... Please Please Pray for My This has been a long night....About 8PM broke into a horrid sweat and asked me to get him a cold towel, so I did.....He was laying in his recliner....He was so cold and clammy....He went to sit forward and was horribly dizzy so I made him sit back in his chair....Then all of a sudden he started vomiting and couldn't stop, so I called 911....When the paramedics got here his pulse was between 140 - 150 and very irregular....They did a strip on him and told me they wanted to get him to the closest hospital as soon as possible, so they took him....My d-i-l came and got me and we went to the hospital.....He looked so bad....He was in atrial fib and the heart was beating between 130 - 160.....We sat there with him while he slept in the ER....Then all of a sudden the heart monitor went crazy with nothing but large lines going up and down....I called the nurse, and they chased us out, saying he was in V-Tach....Said they were going to have to shock the heart....I was hysterical and Lana, my d-i-l, took me outside so I could have a cigerette....When we came back in there were still 5 people in with him....They had given him two different meds, and all of a sudden his heart went back to a normal sinus rythum.....Even the doctor was surprised at how fast it went back to normal....Well, needless to say, he is in the hospital and the doctor was under the impression that he always had an abnormal rythum....We finally got thru to him that he has never been on medication for this and never told he had this.....All the doctor said was that he was under the impression he had, and he said this makes a big difference.....I am so scared, but I insisted that I be left at home alone....The doctor said this could happen again and they need to find out why it happened at all.....His normal heart doctor will see him in the morning....Please, please keep him in your prayers.....I can't lose my ....What would I do without him.....Pam NASH Website http://www.liver-nash.com/ Join NASH-Non-Alcoholic-Steatohepatitis-subscribe Unsubscribe NASH-Non-Alcoholic-Steatohepatitis-unsubscribe Please visit our website at:http://ACES_Autoimmune.tripod.com Please visit our website at:http://ACES_Autoimmune.tripod.com Quote
