Hi Dora, yes in my case it was part of my soft foods diet and I didn't

encounter any issues with dairy as I have heard some people can

initially. I focused a lot on dairy trying to get the protein and

calcium in. There are a lot of choices for low-carb yogurts too, Blue

Bunny, Carb Control and Hood/Atkins just came out with one called

CarbCounter that is fabulous, low carb, low fat, no sugar and it takes

excellent, found it at Publix here in Atlanta.

,

Have you tried the Hood/Atkins yogurt smoothies? My dietitian suggested them to

me since the others are way too sweet for me. They are delicious and only have

1g sugar and 13 g of protein. If you haven't try them you might like to.

Thanks for the answer.

Dora

The RNY diet prescribed to me, which went from Clear Liquids on day one

to Full Liquids day two for one week to Pureed Diet week two to Soft Diet

beginning week three listed low fat yogurt in the Full Liquids diet on week one.

In fact, yogurt was on my tray the morning following surgery.

For me, the best tasting was also the cheapest - Great Value Light flavored

Yogurt found at Walmart, although it sports 7g of sugars. I havent heard of

the Hood/Atkins brand.... I will look for it this week.

Subject: Question about soft food

When you progress from a liquid diet to soft foods can yogurt be part of that

soft food diet?
