Hi Pam,

I was just speaking to a friend who did IVF 2x (has 2 little girls) and she

said to concentrate on visualizing a bright light in your womb. Focus all

your energies on that light.... on it finding a home..... (sounds silly,

but worked for her).

Pam,

You could be right about that. I often wondered what would have happened if

I wasn't on progesterone at the beginning of the ep. I know af would have

come, yet I know women who had an ep and still had af - so, in that sense,

progesterone didn't make a difference.

Hi Pam,

I can't believe your HcG is Thursday! That's great! It must seem like

forever to you, but it actually seemed pretty fast to me (it's always

different when it's someone else). What time is your appointment? How do

you feel? Don't you love the million questions? I'm so excited for

you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figure it will take me a couple times to get the hang of the mixing thing,

but it's not too bad. I don't think I'll be shaking the vials again anytime

soon (might not have been a good idea - that when it popped out when I

removed the needle).

Yes, they will be doing bloodwork and u/s again this Friday. My levels from

yesterday were:

Estrodial 4.3

Progesterone 1.4

LH 7

FH 3

I figure I'll have to go back on Monday also. I'm hoping my retrieval will

be either next Thursday or Saturday (that way it's easier to fit into dh's

schedule). I have a daily countdown of injection days going, for some

reason makes it easier that way.

I made a schedule of my blood levels so I can compare it from test to test

(a bit compulsive of me). They already decreased my Lupron from 10 units to

5 units, and I'm taking 3 amps of Follistim (2x daily).

I'm just hoping the next 10 days go very quickly. And the next 36 hours for

you!!! I'll be saying lots of prayers for you. Just keep thinking

positively!!!!!

Pam,

Are you off all day Thursday? Mayber you can go to the movies or shopping

or something (anything) to keep your mind off the test until the results

come back. I can't believe how calm you are, I would have done daily hpt's

by now!!!!

So you only did 2 amps of stims daily? I guess they think I need a little

(a lot) more. As long as it works I don't care what they give me. I don't

know how I'm going to handle the daily visits. A friend of mine said the

same thing to me on Saturday. She used the same doctor and lives only a few

minutes from us. She said the daily drives were horrible. That's really

going to play havoc on our office schedule; but it makes sense, they need

to know what's going on.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Lots of ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: baby dust!!!!

Hi Pam,

I wouldn't worry about the follies, from what I heard 17 isn't excessive. I

met one woman who had 60+ (that's nuts!!!!). They say as you get into the

higher numbers (30+), the quality goes down. 17 sounds perfect to me!!!!!

I wish I could give you a big hug to reassure you; you're being so brave.

Like everyone said, you could be feeling the start of pregnancy signs,

luckily there's less than 24 hours left before the test. It sounds like dh

is nervous also. Do you guys have any plans for tonight, to keep busy? How

about renting a bunch of videos? We're all here for you; luckily 2 of the

ladies are in Australia so you can probably talk to them in the middle of

the night while we're sleeping (just a thought incase you're awake).

Pam,

I will keep in mind to ask them about the lining, I remembered what you said

and really want to be on top of it. I already warned dh that next week I

might not be very happy (sore, etc.), so he's prepared.

Pam,

How many weeks are you considered? I went in at 4wks 3 days and was able to

see the sac, yolk sac and fetal pole. It amazes me just how early they can

detect those little babies in there!

Pam,

I don't thing progesterone makes the hcg higher, I think it just maintains

the lining to prevent the flow of af (I could be wrong).

I think I tried to skip that side for awhile to. Its so hard when you

are doing so many other shots.

Thats so funny what you said about your dh and talking about their

parts. My dh's cousin is so funny. After they had their first child

it took them like 7 years to have their second one. It turned out he

had a low sperm count. The dr was surprised he conceived the kid he

did. When people asked why he didn't have a second one he told them

he was shooting blanks. I think that is so funny. They now have 3

kids. They swear the third one was conceived when they came down the

night of our wedding.

Pam,

That's soooo true! Dh is pretty good about discussing things, as long as

it's not personal to him. He had no problem telling the world that I lost

BOTH fallopian tubes and we no longer needed birth control! He was actually

proud of the fact (not needing birth control). But would never discuss if

there was anything wrong with his male functioning...

Pam,

I remember that... Ouch!!!! It does hurt, I'm actually considering not

doing a shot on that side for a couple days, to give it time to heal.

Good luck on your mid-terms!! I go for my first u/s on Tuesday. About

the coffe thing. I switched to decalf awhile ago. I love coffee

especially flavored coffee. When I went to see the Acupuncturist the

beginning of January she told me that coffee does nothing for you. So

I went cold turkey!! Quit entirely. Its very hard on weekends when my

dh makes coffee and I have to smell it.

You are very welcome. I am glad I could help. I didn't have that and

I know how scary it is. PIO is the progesterone injections. Did they

give you your progesterone yet? You will need it for Monday.

Pam,

I don't know what PIO means? But I do have a bunch of suppositories left.
