Guest guest
The fixing thing is exactly what he does. I told him I wasn't looking for answers. Maybe if I take a hammer to his head. Hmmm!!! I just pray for +++++results soon so I can move on to a better place in life. Pam
Guest guest
I just had to jump in here and second every thing that maria said.. My DH just can't stand to see me in pain and I think that he thinks that if I am hurting, he should be able to make the pain go away and there are times when you just need to feel it.....and that makes him act insensitively. That's how I see it. The letter idea is great. I've been doing it for years and it works. I try to keep the letter in the " I " (like I feel hurt when this is said or done etc). Even if he doesn't respond, he knows my feelings and I feel better for having " voiced " them calmly. In the least, it will be healing for you. Just my 2 cents worth!! I hope you don't mind!! lisa r T.T.F.N.
Guest guest
So far I am feeling fine. I am just a little crampy. I stayed home from work today to take it easy. I hope I get good fertilization news this afternoon. I started my progesterone suppositories this morning. Pam
Guest guest
Pam, When will you know if you've been hyperstimulated? I hope everything's okay and that you're not (if you are, hopefully it will be a very mild case). I know how you feel about your friend possibly getting pregnant first. My stepdaughter is getting married this June and wants to have children. I keep praying that I am pregnant (w/ a healthy pregnancy) before she is. I couldn't handle dh's excitement over a grandchild - not before we have a child. maria Dana > Dana > > I know exactly what you are saying. It just gets harder and harder > every month. Guest guest
I go back on Wed for transfer. My dr told me to lay down for a 1/2 hour after I put in the suppository. So for the next few weeks I will get out of work at 1:30 so I can do it at 2:00. Then when I get pg they will put me back to 2 times a day from 3. I have heard mixed reviews about the mock transfer. My dr had never said anything to me. But when I went for the retrieval they did it while I was under. Gotta like that. So I have no idea what happened with that. I have done IUI's so I am sure the transfer is similar. I had my ep 8/99 and it seems like I have been in limbo ever since. I know we ttc'd. But I feel like the first time in over a year that I actually have a chance of getting pg. Pam
Guest guest
Pam, That's great that you're feeling good. Was the retrieval what you thought it would be? I'm curious to find out what the mock transfer is like. I spoke to one woman who said it wasn't bad at all. Hopefully you'll have lots of eggs to freeze! With 17 eggies, I would think so!!! When I first found out I was pregnant (before the ep), I was on progesterone suppositories. It was kind of fun, I'd tell dh it was time for the baby's progesterone feeding and then lay down with a good book for an hour. Supposably to make sure everything absorbed properly, but I did enjoy the daily break! When do you go back? I don't know what they call that - to implant the eggs. When you think about it, it's so amazing what can be done today. I can't believe my appointment is tomorrow night, it's all happening so quickly. To think: I'll have had a miscarriage, ep, and start IVF all in 12 weeks - no wonder I'm so tired! Keep me posted, sending ++++++++ thoughts and prayers! maria Re: Pam > > > So far I am feeling fine. Guest guest
Sharon I think a mock is a practice run. They map it out. I think they need to put the embies in a certain spot. I never had a mock transfer with the IUI's. Pam
Guest guest
Hi Pam, I had my blood drawn at the hospital about an hour ago, I wanted to go first think this morning, but had to go into work first. They're checking progesterone, estrogen, and LH (to see if i ovulated). I picked up the meds on my way back from the hospital. I became a bit frightened when I saw ALL the needles! I decided not to think about that part, I'm really excited that this is starting. Now, I'm waiting for a call back about the test results. I have to go back to the office, so I asked them to page me. maria Re: > maria > > My dr made me take a progesterone test before I started Lupron to > make sure I ovulated. Guest guest
When that box of drugs comes it can be very scary. Don't let it intimidate you. I hope your test show you are all set to start. Pam

Hopefully there's something they can do to make driving safer! Stay home as much as possible! maria Re: > > > I felt so lucky to not be hit. Guest guest
Ok, Even though AF showed, I thought this would be a good way for me to figure out when I might have O'ed. My + OPK was on January 15th and we did the diui on that day and the next. He always does them the day of and the next but from what I have been reading it sounds like we should hold off for a day or so after the + OPK, What are your thoughts? Dana
Guest guest
Dana I'm sorry AF showed up. When I did my IUI I also did the HCG shot. With the HCG shot you O 36 hours after. So I had my IUI the morning after the shot and then the next morning. The HCG shot was done in the evening. They say with a + OPK you can O 24-48 hours right? I know the sperm need to be there waiting. Ask you dr if he would consider the HCG shot so you can time the IUI's better. Pam
Guest guest
Pam, Ok, I have read alot about people taking the hcg shot on the FT board. What is it exactly? I sounds like if I did that then I would be able to time it better, but how do they know when to give you the hcg shot? I think at this point timing is going to be my biggest problem. The clomid made me o from the both sides last month and I have little doubt it will again this month, I just don't think I have gotten the right time yet. So any info about hcg would be so helpful. Guest guest
Dana Your dr should have a good idea after 1 or 2 u/s' how quickly your follicles are growing. I forgot that you have donor sperm. Ask your dr about it and see what he thinks. Pam

Guest guest
Hi Pam, Yeah, definitely don't think about it. I'm sure you weren't anywhere near the inside of your friend's nose (at least I hope not)--smile!! Interesting about the chicken pox virus--I always thought it was a type of herpes virus, just as cold sores are a type of herpes. You have enough to occupy your thinking, so why not think about something fun and exciting--like a baby!! It'd take real will power for me not to test--but then again, if you jump the gun and test too early, you'll disappoint yourself unnecessarily. It's a hard call. You go for a beta later in the week anyway, right? Thursday? So maybe you can hold out until then.
Guest guest
Hi I am going to try and hold out. My test is Thursday. I'm afraid of a false negative. I had such a bad experience with HPT w/ep that it scares me to do one.I was reading on the internet that shingles does have something to do with the Herpes Virus. I didn't read into detail though. Guest guest
Pam, Thursday will be here before you know it. Try to hold out! The key is not to have HPTs in your house. If you don't buy them, you won't use them. And hopefully, you don't have any left over. I'm wishing you the best and hope this week goes by quickly for you. ++++++ thoughts,
Guest guest
I was just thinking this morning only 4 more days. I still can't get the shingles thing off my mind. I have to call my dr office for more progesterone supplements tomorrow. So I think I might ask. I can't beleive I was exposed because I have been so careful. I have stayed home and only gone to work. One thing I worry about is that she was at my house. Other times I was exposed to shingles or chicken pox I was at others homes. We were even sitting on my bed because I had to lay down after my suppository. I am also wondering if even though her daughter had the chicken pox shot can she carry the virus if she got it from her mom? Or is it like someone who has already had the chicken pox. Yikes!! I think I am making this worse for myself. The thing I have to remember is she said they were pretty much scabbed over. From what I read you have to be in contact with the pussy stuff to get it. I feel itchy just talking about it. It also said you would get it in 10-21 days. Its only been 8. This will just totally suck if I finally get pg then get chicken pox after all this. It sure doesn't help the wait. Pam
Guest guest
Hi Pam, I used to work with a woman who used to get shingles, and she didn't stay home from work or anything when she had the breakouts. I think you really have to have skin to skin contact. No one I worked with ever ended up getting the chicken pox from her. Especially, if the sores were in your friend's nose--I think you are fine. Please don't worry--concentrate on the + pg test you'll be getting later this week. But if you are calling your dr anyway, it may help to bring it up so they can reassure you that you'll be fine. Guest guest
Ok, if those numbers - or any combo of those numbers - we are going to play the lottery... I can see the headlines now " Internet Support Group Women Share Mulit-Million Dollar Prize " !!!!!!! I think you are wise not to HPT... heck, if you have the willpower, may as well wait for the real thing!

Guest guest
, I love it. That is so cool. You want to know whats weird is that for some reason the last month the numbers 2,1,4 have come to my mind. Not necessarily in that order. The beta you dreamed about had two of the numbers. I think I have decided not to HPT. On the IVF board a lot of the girls test at 10dpt. I am 11dpt (days past transfer). There HCG levels are usually less than 100. That could also be a reason why you don't feel pg right away to. Thats just my observation. Pam
