Guest guest
Since it was brought up. . . . . . I have a question to all the females here. Has anyone thought they were in the middle of menopause before their surgery and then found out everything was starting all over again? I am going through this. I was only menstruating about 4X a year before I had my surgery and being that I am 49, I figured no problem, menopause, and I was quite happy about it. That was then, this is now. I am 3 months out and for the last 2 months, just like clockwork, flowing like the Mississippi, it's back. I am not a happy camper. I know that alot of health issues are resolved after having surgery, but I never even thought about this! Has anybody else had this happen? Guest guest
Did you think having this surgery would make you as knowledgeable as any pharmacist or scientist when it comes to iron. That is quite impressive. I had no idea that there was even more than one type of iron. Wow. Iron forms . . . for << I also read in WLS magazine that a sign of too much iron is constipation, so I must have been getting enough already. in WA >> - This is not accurate . . . some forms of iron will constipate you, period. Ferrous Sulfate is *BAD*. COnstipating, and hard on the stomach, and not usable even by normies. Iron Bisglycinate, Ferrous Fumate are better, but not great. Carbonyl Iron, and Polysaccharide iron are best. You can get them at VitaLady.com. THe carbonyl is small, chewable tab. Polysaccharide is caps. You need iron . . . it's one of the " Basic 8 " - the 8 vital nutrients, all of which are primarily absorbed in the duodenum. Please get some good iron, and take it . . . if I remember, you're young, still menstruating, and it won't take very long for you to get severely anemic. My iron was falling, even with supps, at 6 months . . . And severely anemic could mean iron transfusions . . . Hawkridge in Washington State. Guest guest
I'm glad you brought this subject up. I for one went through natural menopause at the age of 32 (I am currently 37). My last period was in August of 2000. I was curious to know myself, when I loose this weight will my body go back to producing my hormones. I was on replacement hormones for approximately 5 years and never missed a day. I went off of them in December of 03' and haven't had any problems and haven't re-started having a period. So, I don't know, I guess time will tell.
