Guest guest
I'm in the middle of reading " Shrink Yourself " and I find the psychological/emotional insights re: compulsive eating to be invaluable. I have really connected to his message. I haven't started the exercises yet nor have I checked the website/blog. Well worth the read. mm > > Hi, > I just started the book shrink yourself - break free from emotional eating forever! book & so far it is really informative. Written by a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst that specializes in eating disorders. I'm about half way through & am just about to start on the weekly exercises.I'm wondering if anyone else on here has gone through the book or his online program. If so, did you find it helpful? It seems very IE conducive to me. I also really like his website & blog. > > mj >

Guest guest
HI MM, I'm quite surprised that someone else has actually read this book. I agree about how valuable the insights of Shrink Yourself are. The questionaires in the book leave me without a doubt that I AM an emotional eater & I'm actually looking FORWARD to doing the exercises. I'm thinking that I will do one chapter per week & see how that goes. Today is the first day of week 1. It's only noon & already I have forgotten what the focus for the week is & I read the chapter last night. HMMMMMM, I think maybe some index cards might come in handy. If you are interested in working with a partner on this feel free to email me privately. I know that I seem to stay more focused on what I am supposed to be doing when I am working with someone else with a common goal. mj > > > > Hi, > > I just started the book shrink yourself - break free from emotional eating forever! book & so far it is really informative. Guest guest
Hi my name is Barb and I just joined this group. I haven't heard of this book until this post, but I would like to read it. I will see if I can find it. I've read books about intuitive eating, but have trouble putting it into practice I'm hoping talking with all of you will help. > > > > > > Hi, > > > I just started the book shrink yourself - break free from emotional eating forever! book & so far it is really informative. Guest guest
Hi Laurie, Thanks, I also found it on half.com at a great price. It should arrive early next week and I would like to discuss it with others. Re: has anyone done the shrink yourself program? Hi my name is Barb and I just joined this group.
