Guest guest Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 , Glad to hear you're feeling better. I think you have the right attitude in that if the baby is meant to be, it will be and if not, there is not a thing in this world that you can do to stop it. I do think it helps if you do whatever you can to ease your stress at this point. Relax and be good to yourself and your growing baby. I spotted twice during my 5th week. The first time, it was minor and brownish. The nurse reassured me that brown is ok since it is old blood. The second time I spotted, it was bright red and I really thought everything was over. I didn't cramp but just the sight of red scared me. It was also not much and stopped within a few minutes. The next day, I had my ultrasound and saw both heartbeats. Please be reassured that spotting doesn't necessarily mean that you're doomed. Many women spot early in their pregnancy and go on to have perfectly healthy babies. Hope you are staying positive. Sincerely, Sue Quote
