Guest guest
No one really knows why my cervix is shortening. Most likely I have an IC, but we have a dd who is 10 and was born at 37 weeks and weighed 5lbs 9ozs. So I can carry a singleton to term so either having two babies is more stress/pressure or my cervix was shorten the first time around. I was not diagnosed with a UU at that time and my cervix was not monitored. My UU is doing well and the babies have plenty of room and they are over 2 lbs each. They are both girls and I will be 28 weeks on Thursday!! A big milestone for us. I would like to get to 32 weeks, but I just take it one day at a time. The bed rest was rough at first, but after the first week it does get easier. I have even taught myself to knit. The biggest adjustment is my own attitude. I had to realize that although the kitchen floor needs to be mopped, losing the babies because I mopped the floor isn't worth it. So my dh has been doing all of the cooking, cleaning, shopping, and waiting on me hand and foot. And thankfully my dd is old enough to help out. I can't imagine how much more difficult it would be with a toddler. I will keep you in my prayers as well. I have a very good feeling about you have results. Just remember to take it easy and buy sunglasses to wear around the house so you don't see the dust! ~ UU 27w5d -------- Original Message -------- ==> ==> Date: Tue, 03 Feb 2004 19:44:57 -0000 , I have a UU as well. I am just curious... What is the reason that your cervix is shortening? Do you have an incompetent cervix or do they say this is from your uterus? I'm not sure if I have an IC or not. I lost my son at 24 weeks but I was not monitored properly because I didn't know about my UU. So I guess you are about 27 weeks now. That's great. I'm praying for you and your little ones. Do you know their sex? I really respect what you are doing for your babies. I can't even begin to imagine being on bedrest that long and I'm probably headed down that same path..... ~ UU ttc #2 (#1 is in heaven) Share bookmarks: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MullerianAnomalies/links/ Share files: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MullerianAnomalies/files/ The Congenital Uterine Anomalies Home Page: http://www.wegrokit.com/uterineanomalies/ es/ The Congenital Uterine Anomalies Home Page: http://www.wegrokit.com/uterineanomalies/
