I realize we'll probably never know with our daughter, unless further testing (non-hearing) shows some other s/s of CMV. But when my daughter first came home to us, she had a number of strange rashes - mostly in the diaper area....One fungal infection ended up on the outer aspects of her thighs and took months to clear. Could be that they were just the typical/but harder than normal rashes babies get....but they always seemed a bit more than that...Wondering if some of the herpes/varicella symptoms of rash can be passed on and then appear in the child? Children who I've seen who were exposed to Herpes during birth usually had different, but significant health issues. Very interesting.. Thx for sharing.
