Guest guest
Hi , Using " the counting rules: from: /files/HOW_TO_hair_test rule1: over 50%: 13: normal rule2: in red (either end): 2: normal rule3: in green/white only: 11: abnormal This means there is a strong possibility that your child is mercury toxic. Her copper is in yellow on the right. How far over is it? If it is close to red, I would consider it a possible issue. Otherwise I guess I'd not be concerned. The red (high) on cadmium, tin and titanium are also a concern. Personally, the next test I would suggest is a trial of chelation. best, Moria --- In , " zoelle1995 " <rashikino@n...> wrote: > hi, Im so confused trying to read these results and trying to > understand what they mean. Please help me...They are for my daughter, > she is 7.5 years old, DDI lab performed the test on Hair..Thanks so > much for any help or suggestions, should I have anyother tests done.. > Machaela is low functioning-hearing impaired. let me know if any > other info is needed. Guest guest
, even though because of abnormal metal transport from mercury toxicity the values for other toxic metals in the test may not reflect the actual situation, I would try zinc supplementation in addition to chelation because of high copper and cadmium (and you need to supplement zinc during chelation anyway). I would also try to avoid eating any food from cans which are source of tin, and avoid titanium (when I read food labels carefully I notice that titanium dioxide is added to a lot of foods (candies, oatmeal, pizza, cakes etc.) as preservative. I hope you will see improvement from chelation! Guest guest
Thank you so much for the reply, I just started giving her zinc supplement last week..She weighs 60 pounds how much would you suggest I give to her..I was very surpised about the titanium also, I will ck for the additive, I left the report at home but I will check on the copper, if it is close to the red is there something else I should do? Im am going to start chelating if she is 60 pds how much should I give her and should I use both ala and dmsa? on 3 days off 11? Also why the high Cadmiun? Her Magnesium seems so high, I am supplementing magnesium but is it to much and why would the Strontium be so high I dont even know what this is..I know I have so many questions but I just want to make sure I am reading things correctly and doing what may be best for her..since she will be 8 in July I have started late. she is also non verbal not sure if from the hearing impairment or the autism and its so hard to figure out the problem or how something effects her, I have to just guess... any suggestions, guidance and help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks so much > > > hi, Im so confused trying to read these results and trying to > > > understand what they mean. Please help me...They are for my > daughter, > > > she is 7.5 years old, DDI lab performed the test on Hair..Thanks > so > > > much for any help or suggestions, should I have anyother tests > done.. > > > Machaela is low functioning-hearing impaired. let me know if any > > > other info is needed. Guest guest
Hi would it be good to give just the dmsa then recheck with another hair analysis and if the copper is lower then add ala?? Also the dmps should be given every 8 hrs? is this ok to do or is it recommended to use dmsa every 4 hours... Thanks and I appreicate the support.. > > > , > > > even though because of abnormal metal transport from mercury > > toxicity > > > the values for other toxic metals in the test may not reflect the > > > actual situation, I would try zinc supplementation in addition to > > > chelation because of high copper and cadmium (and you need to > > > supplement zinc during chelation anyway). Guest guest
, I would suggest start chelating with DMSA according to Andy protocol /files/Andy_protocol You can order DMSA from www.vrp.com /files/HOW_TO_buy_DMSA They sell 100mg capsules, and I divide them to 4 parts - it's easy. I would suggest to use about 60mg zinc a day for your daughter, divided to several doses. Be sure to give it with food, otherwise it may cause vomiting and stomach upset. You better give less if it causes stomach upset. Start with lower dosage, and increase it it is well tolerated. I usually give less zinc during chelation days (like 15 or 20 mg) but more during off days. It seems from the urine test that DMSA removes a lot of zinc and removes less toxic metals if you give a lot of zinc together with DMSA. For chelation, do not forget the supplements which Andy recommends: " B complex, C and magnesium should be given 4 times a day, and zinc, E, carotenes, etc. at least daily. The B and C are not effective if not given 4 times a day due to their pharmacokinetics. " I also use for my son (his weight is 43lbs) milk thistle (2 capsules a day from Kirkman), glycine (2-3 capsules) and taurine (2-3 capsules) for liver support during chelation round. I also use them during off days, but less (1 caps each). Vitamin A seems to be good for eyes. DMSA may cause yeast overgrowth, so it is better to add probiotics with each dose(we use Culturelle, Pro-Bio Gold and Pro-Culture Gold - you can order them from http://www.kirkmanlabs.com, and Culturelle from many other places, for example, VRP). If you see some yeast symptoms, it is better to use some anti-fungal, but be sure to give it separately from probiotics (we use GSE - 2 drops one or 2 times a day, or oregano oil - the same dosage), Yeast Aid from Kirkman and Capricydin (calcium and magnesium caprylate) from Ecological formulas. You need to avoid sugar and sweet fruit juices as much as possible. Do you use enzymes already? For my son, they help a lot with all stomach problems. We use Peptizyde, HN-zyme and No-Fenol from www.houstonni.com . In fact, he could not tolerate much zinc without enzymes. While chelating with DMSA, you may want to order urine toxic elements test to see what metals are coming out. You can ask any doctor to order it from DDI, it is not expensive if you pay in advance ($55, as far as I remember). You need to wait several months before you can see any changes in the hair test. I think, it's better to try the supplements before starting chelation round, to be sure that your daughter tolerates them well. Good luck, Margaret > > > > hi, Im so confused trying to read these results and trying to > > > > understand what they mean. Please help me...They are for my > > daughter, > > > > she is 7.5 years old, DDI lab performed the test on > Hair..Thanks > > so > > > > much for any help or suggestions, should I have anyother tests > > done.. > > > > Machaela is low functioning-hearing impaired. let me know if > any > > > > other info is needed. Guest guest
Hi, I have check the report and the Copper is right in the middle of yellow and red...So I think I will increase the zinc, give 2 rounds of dmsa then add the ala and see how she does.Let me know if this doesnt sound ok..you are more help than you know..just being able to ask and have my questions answered is so relieving... Guest guest
Hi Margaret, You have answered all my question and so has Moria, I know I will have more..I have started supplementing her 2 weeks ago, I think she is getting all suggested except a few I need to add..Im going to start with DMSA do a few rounds then add ala..I did take this hair test before I added the zinc so Im hoping this will help with the copper and I have the report and the copper is right in the middle of yellow and red.. So it is not as high as I thought..I live in WI and there isnt many DAN doctors in my area, so Im basically going to do this on my own.I feel so nervous and many concerns, but I need to do something...One other question I do have is how do I know if the metals are coming out? just see how she is doing or is there something else I should look for.. Bless you and thank you so much.. > , > I would suggest start chelating with DMSA according to Andy protocol > /files/Andy_protocol > You can order DMSA from www.vrp.com > /files/HOW_TO_buy_DMSA > They sell 100mg capsules, and I divide them to 4 parts - it's easy. > I would suggest to use about 60mg zinc a day for your daughter, > divided to several doses. Guest guest
>One other question I do have is how do I know if the > metals are coming out? just see how she is doing or is there > something else I should look for.. Hi , if you find a doctor who agrees to order the test " Urine toxic elements " from DDI, you can see what is coming out. In this case it will be cheaper, but you will need to pay the doctor for appointment. It seems that you can order the same test yourself from DirectLab, I just found it at http://www.directlabs.com/testtypes.php#DMSP , it is called Toxic Metals - Urine, price $145. It will show you what is coming out with DMSA. When you start ALA, most of excretion goes through feces, so you will need a fecal test, or you can just judge by improvement if you are doing the right thing. Best wishes Margaret > Bless you and thank you so much.. > > > > , > > I would suggest start chelating with DMSA according to Andy protocol > > /files/Andy_protocol > > You can order DMSA from www.vrp.com > > Autism- Mercury/files/HOW_TO_buy_DMSA > > They sell 100mg capsules, and I divide them to 4 parts - it's easy. > > I would suggest to use about 60mg zinc a day for your daughter, > > divided to several doses.
