Guest guest
Hiya, I have been on the Atkins diet for 3 years and the south beach diet is a variation on the Atkins diet. I credit changing my diet to getting me out of bed when I had basically been bed ridden for a year. I noticed a difference within a month and was able to go back to work after 2 months. I am not rabid about following the diet, but i do notice a difference when i have been off of it for a while. When i started out on it, i said i would give it 3 months to notice a difference in my energy levels and it worked. I figured I had nothing to lose and everything to gain by giving it a shot. I would talk with your primary care dr before hand to see if he thinks it might be worth a shot too. > >Message: 7 > Date: Sun, 18 Jan 2004 12:26:33 -0800 (PST) >Subject: South Beach Diet - info please > >Quick question: Has anyone read or heard anything regarding the South >Beach diet having positive, or negative, affects on individuals with Lupus? > >A friend of mine told me that she recently spoke to a woman who has had >Lupus for many years and has been doing South Beach for about a year and >has felt better since.
