Oh, ...there is no defense needed for Truth. The Victor has already

been declared(isn't anyone here and He does fine without any of " our "

position-shaking revelations). : ) Now to what ails you. Wear boxer

shorts? Or tight fitting jeans? Like us gals, if we have a vaginal

problem...it isn't ONLY there; guys and gals both have to deal with candida

through diet/antifungals/supplements. Maybe there would be some relief for

you in your private area if dryness and looseness is promoted...if that is

a consideration for you. I know gals are told to wear cotton gutchies and

loose fitting clothes so as to not provide a breeding environment favorable

to the " critters " which is moist and warm. Think Prince has that

problem when he wears his skirt? teeheeeeeee Okay...no one object to my

stupid humor, now. Jock itch probably is very annoying and hope you get

something to help very soon.

Thanks Joyce & Edith for your comments.

I do in fact wear boxer shorts & keep pretty dry, especially since I work out of

my home

and can wear loose fitting things most of the time.

But I never tried Tea Tree Oil?? How would that be applied? Right on the skin

in the

crease of the leg? Can you drink it in diluted form? I've heard it's pretty

concentrated.

What about applying vinegar? Any sense in that?

Do not drink tea tree oil. It is topical only. They also make it in

powdered form that may bring some relief.

Very welcome, ! I've heard of Tea Tree Oil being used internally

though the bottle I once had(Nature's Sunshine) said for external use only

on the label. (Here is the URL but little information is there:

http://www.naturessunshine.com/ProductArea/LabelSheet.asp?al_ProductNum=1777

& al_PromNum=0 Maybe a search at http://www.google.com for Tea Tree Oil or

Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar may help you more than I am able to do.) That

bottle had a glass tube connected to the lid that was used for application

after dipping in the bottle. If I recall correctly, it did burn

momentarily when applied to a break in the skin so you may want to try a

small area first. It did heal cuts but I do not know exactly how it will

work with your situation. As far as the vinegar...I would think it could

be used for jock itch but may sting also. People put it in bath water so

maybe a diluted solution would help in trying it initially to see how your

body responds. I've also heard of diluted hydrogen peroxide being used

with men externally in that area, so that one might be something to

consider for you, also. I know this has been addressed on a candida

forum(their search function is down) but you may want to scroll down the

subjects in the archives and see if anything interests you there. (That

URL is:

http://www.healthyawareness.com/Candida/) Actually, I just noticed that

someone posted about Jock Itch within the past few posts. I hope you get

relief real soon, .

In Christ,

Joyce

Dear Joyce,

I use vinegar, it works great for me. I never heard of Braggs where would I

get that. I douch with it and water. I also drink it a Table spoon or more

in a full glass of water. When I read up on vinegar it said, that it killed

yeast and bacteria. It was stronger than Hydrogen Peroxide they said. Any

way I have found it to normalize me even when I was really bad, almost

immediatly. You are right I've used Tea tree oil too with good results.

I've been reading the book by Hulda . She is great and some really

good ideas. She has a diet in her book that is nothing but common sence and

would help with all of the cravings. I am trying it right now. I do add

cold veggies on ice when I get really hungrey. A lot of veggies are free on

a diabetic diet. She also lists a variety of things to drink. There is

more of a choice I've found with her book. Between the diet and vinegar I

am doing really well.

Cheerfully,

Myra

Hi Myra,

I should have given the address on Braggs before. I'm sorry. It is:

http://www.bragg.com/ I bought a bottle of the vinegar at a neighborhood

herb store so probably if you didn't want to purchase it online, a

supplement store should either carry it locally or be able to get it for

you. It is more spendy than grocery store brands. A book that is on

Braggs ACV covers why it is beneficial to use natural over distilled. A

quart cost me a little over $4 in store. I drink it in water also but less

than what you do. It does seem to have had a positive result for me though

some people insist it is not to be used at all with candida imbalance. I

don't have vaginal problems now so I've not used the ACV or anything else

to douche.

I haven't read the book by Hulda but might have something in my

bookmarks on it. Thank you for sharing how it is helping you. I'm going

to have to check on that more tomorrow.

It's wonderful to hear that you have improved so much. The ACV seems to

help both of us and I'll look for the book by . Thanks so much, Myra.

Yours in Christ,

Joyce : )

Hi ,

Very nicely put . I too would appreciate it if this list could focus

on the Health issues and not bring spirituality into it at all.

Have you read the book Eat Right for Your Type by Dr. D'Adamo? I think if

you take your blood type into consideration when adjusting your diet for

Candida, you will see better results.

By way of testimonial I would like to recommend you try olive leaf extract,

I have been taking it for six months and I find it has cleared up a lot of

symptoms for me. My son had Jock Itch, he is also taking the extract and it

appears to be helping him as well. We get the product on the internet at

www.otrecure.com

I hope you find this helpful.

In Health,

Sincerely,

Hi Alison,

My daughter was diagnosed with systemic JRA at 9 months old, she is the

youngest I have ever heard of actually. It is very hard and scary in the

beginning. If you need to talk you can respond thru the list, thru my own

email address, or IM me as I see you have AOL also. Talk to you soon, n

n, thanks for the support. It's so scary to get such a diagnosis at

such a young age! How old is your daughter now? How is she doing? Is she

currently on any medications? Well I hope all is well for you right now, talk

to you soon

Take care,

Hi ,

Oh, I just now read your message to the group and it brought tears to my

eyes. It reminded me a lot of when my son joshua first got sick, 4 and a

half years ago. When I got down to the end of your note, I was so ahppy

to hear of the great improvements your daughter has been making in

recent days. You must all be overjoyed that she is finally getting well

again! The right medicines can make such a big difference. That was

scary, how your daughter responded to the IV pulse steroids. You must

have been very worried. I've never heard of such a strong negative

reaction like that before. My son went into the hospital last month, as

we were going to do the IV pulsing, but the doctors decided that he

didn't need it at this time. He's been taking the steroids orally since

he first got sick but only had them by IV when he was hospitalized the

very first time.

It sounds very promising, that your daughter is able to handle alternate

day steroids. Most of the side effects that people talk about regarding

prednisone don't become bothersome if it's taken every other day instead

of daily, so she is very lucky. She'll be able to get all the benefits

without some of the unwanted side effects like slowed growth, Cushingoid

syndrome, etc. I hope it all works out well and that Jayda continues to

improve. By the way, that is such a beautiful name :) Very unique!

You're right. We never really know if or when there might be another

flare up ... so just take it day by day and try to enjoy things while

your daughter is feeling well :) Don't worry too much. It sounds like

she has good medical care and is getting good treatment. Let's hope she

does really well and keeps improving, with no setbacks.

Nice to meet you, !

Take care,

Georgina

Alison and JVR124@...,

Welcome to the Group - you have found the right place. Most of us have been

through similar trials, and as my son Damien went down with systemic JRA at

9 months (he is now 5 years old), I think I know just how you feel.

According to the experts in the UK, Damien is in the worst 10% of cases.

I would suggest the most important thing for you to bear in mind now is that

the disease must be treated aggressively to keep the child as mobile as

possible. We have so far suffered few major side-effects from the meds

that I can recall and as you note, when you see the difference the IV

steroids make, it is little short of fantastic.

Sorry that you are going through all this, but at least you have a few

sympathetic, knowledgeable and understanding shoulders to lean on now.

Wishing you all the very best of luck,

Oliver

My daughter has epilepsy and drinks. I wish she wouldn't. Alcohol INCREASES

the effectiveness of Depakote. But of course it wears off and your body

reacts. Birth control pills decrease the effectiveness of Depakote. She had

to increase by half a pill at night.

drinking alcohol is okay for people with epilepsy. My mom says it's not

okay, that it decreases the effectiveness of the medication I'm on, and I'm

20 and I like to have a drink with my friends sometimes. I hope to hear from

someone,

My son also has epilepsy, Sasha......... alcohol and seizure control

medicine don't mix.

You are setting yourself up for big trouble.

Ask your doctor, your pharmacist, do a web search for the drugs you are

taking to control your seizures and see for yourself what the cautions are.

Maybe you should consider asking your friends why they want you to

further endanger your life by encouraging you to drink alcohol.

Actually, it's more accurate to say that it increases the sedation effect,

which is more like a common side effect, not efficiency of the medication. The

main point is that the instructions that come with Depakote specifically state

that it should NOT be mixed with alcohol. One way of looking at it is that a

person on Depakote will respond to one drink as if it were two or three. While

I was on Depakote, I generally didn't drink, and when I did, it was a very

small amount, e.g., a couple sips of beer (usually somebody else's).

Amy,

I encourage you to make yourself familiar with herbs and making herbal teas.

I purchase whole, bulk herbs from the local holistic store. A great book is

" Herbs of Life " Tierra. Good luck to your father on his journey to

wellness. Foggs

Essiac tea is good for all cancer, so feel free to give it to him. It should

be taken in morning or night on fairly empty stomach. The directions are on

the bottles. There is nothing in it that can hurt him and it could make him

more comfortable. There are many other things to do that will build his

immune system like mgn-3, vitamin c, Co Q 10, juice carrot juice, beets,

celery all together and drink all he can get down. There are many great

books on routine to help him, check with a good local health food store. Find

one that is simple to follow and understand by someone who has kicked their

cancer. Keep the faith anything can happen and will with a great attitude.

Pray a lot.

God Bless

Ann

Sorry to hear about your Grandfather's leukemia. In all of her books,

Dr. suggest two sources for all illnesses: parasites and toxins.

Of leukemia, she says " Change your galvanized pipes to PVC plastic. If

you believe you already have plastic pipes or all copper (which leads to

leukemia...) you will need to search every inch of plumbing for a very

short piece of galvinized pipe left in the system! A piece as short as a

2 inch T or Y can be causing all the trouble... "

She adds " after finding the cadmium, start on the kidney cleanse. Your

might miss the cadmium problem if you don't attend to it first. Also

remove all metal from your mouth... " ---page 211 The Cure For All

Diseases

" Remember that azo dyes are also responsible for an elevated alkaline

phosphatase and LDH on the blood tests. If yours are elevated, let this

galvanize you into action...avoid all dyes... " ---page 119 The Cure For

All Advanced Cancers

" When the White Blood Cell (WBC) count is much too high, over 15,000, it

may represent leukemia. The simple step of changing copper water pipes

often corrects the problem in its early stages. But when the WBC is over

30,000, much more must be done quickly.

" removing all plastic and metal from teeth, killing parasites and

bacteria can reduce the count to 20,000 in ten days. Removing all dyes

brings it down further. At this point it is important to provide

selenium and vitamin A. Your WBCs need these to battle

pathogens... " ---page 213 The Cure For All Advanced Diseases

These solutions are relatively simple (in concept), and her books are

often available either through several internet sources, or even at your

local bookstore.

Hope this helps.

Hello everyone...

I just joined the list in hopes of learning everything I can. My

Grandfather has leukemia and has gone through the chemo. It's not looking

very good for him and we are grabbing at strings to learn all we can about

anything. I was searching through the endless sites on the internet about

this terrible disease and found something called Essiac. Has anyone heard

of this or know anything about it? It sounds very interesting. I would

love to hear anyone's experiences with this or anything other treatment,

etc...

He's in the hospital now and the doctor has told us that it's just a matter

of weeks now, but he is feeling pretty good, all things considered and I

just can't imagine giving up.

Thanks for listening and thanks in advance for any information you can send.

Take Care,

Amy
