Guest guest Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 > Has anyone TTC before doing the surgery to see how > the outcome might be? Hi I had a history of m/c (4) before I was dx with SU in August of 2001. I had a very broad, very long septum. It extended across the entire top of my uterus and 3/4 of the way down. My RE wanted me to have a lap/hys immediatly. However, we had a vacation scheduled and then the holidays prevented us from having the surgery. When we went in for my pre-op meeting in late December we learned that I was pg. I carried to 21 weeks before I miscarried. , it was the most horrible thing I had ever been thru. I had to go thru L & D. All genetic/chromosomal testing came back normal. My little girl was perfect (for her fetal age). However, she ran out of room because of the septum. All of my m/c prior can be linked to my SU, as each pg was progressively further along than the previous On the flip side, there are many women who have SU that have normal pg and never know they are SU. However, I could not in good faith encourage you to ttc before the surgery Hollie K 35, SU, 7m/c, 1 lap/hys, 1 abdo metro Quote
