Guest guest Posted October 31, 2001 Report Share Posted October 31, 2001 Hey Ya'll, Just an update on Jackie...she is still hurting pretty bad. It has been 3 weeks since they cut her duct and put a stent in, still no relief...really more pain. Her doc wants her to see a psychologist, a neurologist she's been having headaches, a nutritionist for weight loss. I agree she really needs someone to talk to about her illness and pain...maybe it will help her get back to school. Her doc said he wanted her to control her pain...maybe not his exact words. He wants her to realize she cannot just stay in the house she needs to get back in school and activities. I agree to a certain degree but it is hard to make your child go to school or whatever when they hurt. But I do hope it helps her to talk to a professional. During her appt he told me that the MUSC of ton would not see her at the pain clinic...but I told him they said they would so he called me today telling me that they would see her ...the soonest is in Jan but I called them and they are going to try for sooner. So that is about it...she will go for an x-ray in a couple of weeks to see if the stent came out, if not we will have to go back to ton to get it removed. Halloween was fun tonight with my girls, we went slow but had fun. Jackie felt bad some but had her sis and a friend and my step Grandbaby to have fun with.
