Only you know what is right and good for you. Try to keep a positive outlook. Where are you having your surgery? I had mine at St. Charity Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio on April 23, 2004. It took me about a month from the initial education seminar to surgery, only because I was already insurance approved. I hear the average is 6 to 8 weeks from consultation and insurance approval to get a surgery date. I wish you lots of luck as you proceed to your surgery. Guest guest Posted May 28, 2004 Report Share Posted May 28, 2004 I am do for my evaluation on June 15, and then I am do to talk with my surgeon on June 23 there I can ask all the question I want I have made a list of questions I want to ask. Do anyone know how long after your evaluation, and confirmtation with surgeon do you have to wait for the surgery I know everyone is different. Also another thing may people I talk to and tell them I am going to have the surgery and if they know of someone who have had it they talk down about the surgery, so I never hear to much good things about the surgery always negative. However all the negativity is making me have second thoughts and I don't want to do that. Like I told a person I think with the surgery I can do it because I will know then if I don't eat right then I will have to suffer the effects that will occur so that will give me the will power to eat right and stick with it.
