Guest guest
If you have someone offering you $400.00 for your pc I would take it and run... You can buy a brand new Dell pretty much loaded for 499.00 Go to www.Dell.com they have deals all the time and you can get free shipping and handling and also free upgrades if you just keep an eye on the website. Ask ... They also have deals for free cd burners and such... I love my Dell.. Wont buy anything but Dell.. My brother bought a Gateway and well he regrets it, my mother-in-law bought a gateway and she too has regreted it.. The list of friends that have bought gateway have all turned around and bought Dell's.. Whatever you chose to do, let me know =) Love Deanna

You can buy a brand new Dell pretty much loaded for 499.00 You do want to be careful with the low end models (any brand). Many of them only come with 128M of RAM/SDRAM and that is not enough memory to run most modern software (especially if any graphics are involved) or to run Windows XP efficiently. It is well worth it in most cases to upgrade to at least 256. And of course you need to be sure there is some sort of (XP compatible) virus checker on there as well. Viruses and Trojan Horses will slow down things - and worse! If you are watching your budget, AVG by Grisoft is a good free virus checker - just be sure after downloading it that you change the options to scanning for viruses daily instead of weekly. For more info there is a link to it at the bottom of all my emails. Something that checks for viruses and Trojan Horses that can come in when you visit websites is a useful add-on as well. Sue --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.558 / Virus Database: 350 - Release Date: 1/2/2004
