Guest guest
, I"m so sorry to hear about Thor's illness! I know you will make these last days good for him. He is a very lucky kitty to have had such a loving home. HUGS, Dawn sarah wrote: Remember how we were just talking about cats living forever? & how the vet said Thor's too mean to die? He's been looking a little "off" lately; lost a little weight (5 lbs is his normal weight). He had a blood test yesterday; he has kidney failure. We found it early, so hopefully we'll have him a little while longer. Yahoo! Terms of Service.

Guest guest
Sorry to hear that, . Kidney failure is what took Angel. Kathy Thor the cat Remember how we were just talking about cats living forever? & how the vet said Thor's too mean to die? He's been looking a little "off" lately; lost a little weight (5 lbs is his normal weight). He had a blood test yesterday; he has kidney failure. We found it early, so hopefully we'll have him a little while longer. There is no cure for kidney failure; it's a death sentence. We've chosen to treat him as long as he has a good quality of life. He'll be on special food for now. The next step in treatment would be IV fluids to flush out his kidneys; we haven't decided whether we'll go that far. It will depend on his attitude & how often he'll need the IV's. We've known for his whole 13 year life that he could leave us anytime because of his health problems, but for some reason this has really hit me hard. Just needed to share.
