Guest guest
, I am a left UU with only one kidney and no tubes. I got pregnant via a frozen embryo transfer and gave birth to our daughter via c-section last August. It took us 12 years to finally have a successful pg. As you have probably heard by now, there are lots of UU success stories on this board. Some need the assistance of fertility treatments, but many others don't. If your tube is open and you ovulate normally, you should be able to get pg and have a pretty normal boring pregnancy. It may take longer simply because you only have one tube though. If you don't mind me asking, where in AR are you and who is your RE? Please keep asking questions, there is tons of great information on this list. another UU mommy to Paxtyn Faith 8/8/03 unicornuate uterus > Does anyone else have a unicornuate uterus? > I was told last summer that I have this anomoly. Guest guest
my goodness you must be a very strong woman! Congrats on your baby girl, I know she is a blessing. Do you know if by just having one ovary if you only ovulate every other month. When I had my appendix out in Dec they found my left ovary but it is not normal and it is behind my uterus. I really don't know what all that means, but I have pictures to show my obgyn. I am in Fayetteville and I see Dr. Gorman at Parkhill in the Women's hospital Willow Creek. I am just hoping for the best and trying to keep a positive attitude. > , > > I am a left UU with only one kidney and no tubes. Guest guest
, Unfortunately, I don't have a positive story to tell. I lost my son at 24 weeks because I went into pre-term labor. But, I didn't know about my UU at that time. Right now I am currently 5 weeks pregnant and this time I will be monitored more closely. Hopefully, we will have a better outcome. It is very scary to make the decision to try to have a baby when you have a UU. All I can tell you is to try and have faith. If you would like to talk more just email me at amandaluvs2cook@.... I hope this info helps. I know all too well what it's like to find out about having a " different " uterus. ~ 1 loss @ 24 weeks due to PTL 5w0d
