Guest guest
Hi, everyone, we got in early yesterday afternoon after a five hour drive. I was so tired out, I fell asleep right away, and slept until after midnight. Then up to potty, and right back to bed until after 10 this morning. Guess I overdid things yesterday on that long drive home. So, what have I missed? To all you newbies who came on board while I was away for a week's trip to the south coast of California, welcome. I will try to go back and read your introductory posts as I have time, but I hope you fine this group as helpful, warm, funny, and familial as I have. To all who had birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Happy, Happy times to you, and painfree ones, too. To a C., Oh, honey, we missed you something fierce, and while I didn't get to see your post about and your sister, I am praying for you all, and have extensive experience with similar situations because of my own family, and some of my adopted kids, too. Please feel free to email me privately if you need to. If you need the addy, just post to the group and I'll send it along. To Deanna, how are you and Mike holding up? Hope your New Year's Eve was pleasant and pain free. To the rest of the Moderators, and members, I missed you all, but didn't have access to a computer where I was staying. We had a good time, only two full days that it didn't rain, but playing board games by the fire, eating good food, and just begin at ease was a good thing for us all. I sure was glad to get home to my own comfortable bed, though. LOL I am so glad to be back home, rested in mind if not exactly painfree, and ready to start the new year and address the problems that we put on hold until after the holidays. Hope you all are doing well, and that you missed me just a little bit. LOL Loving hugs, MM

Guest guest
a C., Don't you just HATE continuances? I went through a multitude of them with my eldest son before we finally got him into a mental facility in Oakland, CA. He is still there, but I don't hear about him since he is over 18, now. I sent Christmas and birthday greetings and money, and that is really all HE cares about, anyway. LOL I hope he is well. About Carla Sue and all that, I think you were right to take , and while it may seem like a long and harrowing road for you all, it will pay off in the end. An intervention is really the only way left to all of you to try to help her. Once you have done that, then you have exhausted every option you have available, and it's time to ask the state for permanent custody to keep him safe. Very hard stuff to deal with, I know, from experience. I'm praying hard, luvvy. Hugs, MM
