Yeah, I will admit sometimes I eat too fast & probably

don't chew the gazillion recommended times. I'm trying

to be better about it though since chewing well helps

with tummy & digestion problems in general. I really

think that I need to be on synthroid at a HIGHER dose

than 1.0 for awhile before I decide its useless stuff.

I am STILL waiting for the upped dosage perscription

to arrive in the mail. Wish they'd hurry up about it!

Ok, at the risk of sounding stupid do you mean you are

on slightly less than 1.00 or a whole lot more than

1.00? The new does is 1.25 but as I said, I'm still

waiting on it. In the meantime I've been using a pill

splitter & cutting a pill into quarters to go along

with old does. I don't think the does is very accurate

but I am in such a hurry to up the does that I'm

willing to fudge it a bit. I am probably going to call

my GP & try to get her to write me out a script today.

Her nurse is GREAT & always does things the same day

so I know it would be here by Monday. Whereas I am

still waiting for my endo's nurse to just return my

damn phone call.

Slightly less. Synthroid is usually dosed in mcg so you are on 1 mcg or .1 mg, I'm on 75 mcg or .075 mgs.

The splitter will do close enough until the new pills come, but you're right it isn't 100% accurate. Do you mean to say that after the endo told you that the TSH was way high and that you needed an increased dose she hasn't written out a script? Geez!
