Here's another Question for all of you regarding adenoids this time. le

has had repeat sinus infections and upper respiratory infections since April,

and negative pressure, especially in left ear but off and in both, and signs of

fluid which usually happens when she gets the sinus infections, and repeat ear

infections. Has had tubes twice but looks like she will need them again. Her

peds are stating it's chronic sinusitis, and I have done a lot of research on

it. One of the peds suggested that I see an ENT and talk to them about having

her adenoids, tonsils removed and tubes placed back in. She just had another

XRAY of her adenoids on Friday, and I should have the results today. She did

have one 9 months ago that showed everything was fine, and the adenoids were not

enlarged. So we will see what this XRAY say's today. She is hypernasal and is

due back to the have her palate checked again for possibly submucus cleft or

possibly cleft palate, or possibly VPI. She was went through the evaluation

last year but video fluoroscopy and nasendoscopy could not be performed due she

wasn't making the pressure constant sounds but is scheduled to go back in

September now that she is making them. So we will see. I was just wondering if

any of you had your child's adenoids removed due to anything other than enlarged

adenoids. I am just trying to get all the information I need, to ask as many

questions that I can, before putting her through all of this once again.

Thanks so much.
