It also helps reduce swelling too. You will get different results depending on what company you buy it from.

So it's probably worth a try.------Jackie I've always thougth gluco chondrin (sp??) was good for joints. -------------Glucosamine chondroitin is what you see advertised or in stores all the time. Lots of those products also contain MSM, which is a sulfury supplement, which many of us mercury toxic people should avoid, so be careful of that. I think the glucosamine part is the effective part. On page 154 of AI, Andy says glucosamine is useful for healing the gut, skin, and joints. I am low plasma sulfate, so besides epsom salt baths, Andy says you can take glucosamine sulfate as a supplement to help raise it, so I get both benefits from this one supp. My bottle says " As a key ingredient in cartilage, Glucosamine plays an important role in good joint health. Studies indicate that Glucosamine provides the building blocks for constructing cartilage. " So you could try glucosamine also.-----------Jackie Anybody have any info here? -----------------Although Andy doesn't mention it for this purpose, my bottle of L-Lysine says it is a main component of tendons, ligaments, and connective tissues throughout the body. Lysine also promotes bone, skin, and cartilage formation and is required for the proper functioning of joints and tendons. It is an essential amino acid which is often deficient in vegetarian diets. I ordered it because it is supposed to help with cold sores, which Andy does mention on page 158 of AI. So those are the things I know of off hand, there may be more. I guess I would suggest trying one thing at a time, to see if it helps. And I would think it may take awhile to really notice improvements, so give it some time.---------Jackie Thanks, Val

Guest guest
Hi, I took gotu kola for awhile. I thought it was helpful for joints and cognitive issues. I can't remember now why I stopped. Andy said somewhere that the liquid form was all that worked, but I found capsules worked for me. Dr. Rind recommends L-proline for adrenals saying that things that help with connective tissues usually help adrenals, too. W.
