I first applied last Nov and was Approved the first time by April of this year. Maybe because I'm older? I am 49 years old. My diagnoses were Fibromyalgia, NMH, CFIDS, hyperthyroid and mild emphysema and I think they added depression. I was lucky and had a good doc plus the disability docs they sent me too were very nice and knowlegeable. I was very surprised when they approved me first time around as I expected to be turned down at least once. Also I was told the income just had to be below $700 a month. I was making more than that until I had to quit work in Oct. of 2000 and haven't worked since then. My biggest problem during the warm weather is the NMH (neurally mediated hypotension). I wake up in mornings with a BP of 72/46 and sometimes it gets way up to 90/70 during the day. I believe this is why I have the chronic fatique.
