Guest guest
i was only just diagnosed a few months ago with asherman's. i had my son in april 2000 and had a retained placenta. i had a d & c immediately after the delivery. things were fine. when i stopped breastfeeding i got my period about 6-8 weeks later just as they tell you you will, so i didn't think anything was wrong. in retrospect it's been light, but i never really thought much about it. it was only when we started trying for another baby that i started to feel something was wrong. never did i think it was this. i went and saw dr san roman after trying for a little more than a year and after hearing my story the first thing he said was that his gut feeling was that i had scarring in the uterus. he sent me for and hsg, that was hellish, they couldn't get the dye to flow in the uterus. there must be some opening though b/c i am still getting a period. i felt really down after this. i went back to dr san roman after the exam and we went over all the findings and options. that's when we scheduled the hys/lap that i will be having thurs a.m. he was pretty optimistic today, which i don't think drs ever let on unless they are pretty confident that they are going to be successful. i think they tend to hedge themselves in situations like these just to be safe. i took his optimism as a really good sign. i am glad you called for the appt with him. i know right now it seems so far off but at least you are on your way to getting some answers. i didn't realize you have been dealing with this for so long, i am so sorry. i know some of the other women have had success with the a- list drs, but i felt so comfortable with dr san roman and with his ability that i am going to stay with him. i know some have seen dr palter, i think he is in plainvies. there are also 3 different drs in nyc on the a list as well. not sure if you have consulted them or not, but good luck and i will keep you posted as to what happens on thurs. right now i am just feeling very anxious.
