Maybe you are getting stale ones? Is there an area in Houston that caters to Mexicans? that store ought to keep them fresh, I am in central TX and happen to be in or close to two towns that have many of across the border, mine are so fresh when I buy them

Just tonite I did the grill thing, with a hot grill it was less than two minutes and they rolled up real good-here I thought they had to be put in oil but it is something one must do as soon as they come off the heat. In fact when they get cold if one cooked them too long they are hard as rice flour items
