Guest guest
Mine own S.O. was very supportive, from the day I came home and said, " I think there are braces in my future. " (We'd both had the same unpleasant ortho as children, and knew not to look forward to a repeat, although I must say that my second ortho was such a sweet and helpful man, with such a good staff, that it was truly, truly easier the second time around.) Then we discovered the rest, piece by piece, and never did he look at it as anything other than, " You need to save your teeth. " I think he wasn't thrilled with the notion of it. And I know there are a lot of ways we would both have better enjoyed spending the $$$ for the braces. But he was as good and helpful as they come, and indeed, if anything, somewhat pissed that I didn't organize a menu system and series of tasks for him to do post-op. And that's only part of why he's my husband now. Honey, honey, honey, Allie, if you're in Alabama and can't get good chicken-fried steak, there's something wrong with the places you're hanging out in! Mexican, I can't address, because the Mexican I had at about I had the same first round of braces was sooooo hot I couldn't eat it. At least not without a sopapilla immediately at hand to cool it off. (Beer was frowned on when I was 13!) Cammie
