Guest guest Posted August 17, 2006 Report Share Posted August 17, 2006 To those familiar with or taking Urso, What impact has Urso had on your GGTP level? My little sister (18) was diagnosed 4 months ago with UC and then a month later with PSC when she had her gallbladder removed. Currently, she's on a relatively low dose Urso (15mg/kg..I think) until the UC gets under control. Anyway, she had a very diseased gallbladder, but since its removal, her liver enzymes have been going way down, to the point where her alkaline phosphatase is just outside the high end of normal and her GGTP a relatively low 11. I've read that Urso generally has a positive impact on the alkaline phosphatase and liver enzymes in general. I was wondering whether it has also been shown that Urso keeps GGTP down.
