Wow ! Congrats! I'm surprised that you didn't know it was twins

until now. Didn't they pick up 2 heartbeats when they did doppler checks?

And weren't you measuring big? I am 29 wks. with one and getting

uncomfortable, I hope you manage to stay comfy with 2 in there!

LOL - aside from not being able to see my feet at 5 months, it really isn't

too different. I haven't had any complications, morning sickness was not too

bad (my worst case, but nothing compared to some mothers) As for how I knew

before the ultrasound, I just had a strong feeling. Every night I would feel

them kick and think -- " there just has to be 2!!!! " and by morning I would

have talked myself out of it, thinking I just had a nice strong kicker.

Thanks for letting me gush over all this .. I am very excited. I realize

this is a bit off topic. Sorry if that bothers anyone!

Oh congratulations !! Twins!!! The dr had mentioned in the beginning

to me that multiples could be a possiblity because my hcg levels were through

the roof. I'm only 12 (almost 13 weeks) and we just heard one heartbeat last

week at the dr with the doppler. We don't have sonograms so he said he

couldn't guarantee anything for sure right now. He didn't seem to think that

my uterus was large or anything so I'm not thinking it's probably twins,

although I did want twins!! He said that without a sono that twins are only

detected 50% of the time so I guess we could get a surprise on delivery day!!

Anwyay, congratulations and get ready!!

Yes Fawn -

I found a neat website of surprise twins at home births. It was very cool to

read what the mom's wrote of their experience. Hey, just so you know -- we

only ever heard one heartbeat as well. But, I definitely was measuring large

for my weeks. But - who knows!!!!

<3 B

PS I have pics of my belly -- anyone interested in seeing them?

Hey, this " off topic " business doesn't bother me a bit! It's not everyday

that someone's expecting twins :) I admire that you're going to nurse them,

especially with 2 others kids!! Take care of yourself and I look forward to

hearing more!!
