Thanks for the update Lynda,

I've been wondering how you were doing. I know you'll be thrilled when this is over!

I have an appointment with an ENT next week . . . It's time I did something with this ear. Changing elevations has brought it to that point. I suspect I'll have to get a tube in my ear too.

Rogene,

I read that you were having ear problems. I did not have any

problems with changing elevations, but the hyperbaric chamber is

doing a number on my right ear. They both have excessive pressure

that does not go away. Allergies.

Hope your ear tube helps. I plan on having them taken out when I am

finished with treatment.

Say a little prayer that the hyperbaric chamber helps my RSD.

Traci,

Thanks for the update! . . . How long has it been since you had your explant?

Cancer certainly is something you don't want to worry about! . . .Thank God you don't have that!

The infection certainly is persistent! . . . Have they cultured it and tested the various antibiotics to see which ones have an effect on the specific kind of bacteria you have? . . .

We'll keep praying for you! . . . Those horses are waiting!

Hugs and prayers,

Rogene

Thanks Rogene,I was explanted on July 19, 2007. Including explant, I've had 4 surgeries since that date.My nurse has requested an infectious disease doctor consult to plan an attack against this staph infection.Hubby bought me (amongst other things) riding boots and the horse encyclopedia to help keep me going. I really miss the horses.Thank you for your prayers.Hugs & love,Tracisaxony01 <saxony01@...> wrote: Traci, Thanks for the update! . . . How long has it been since you had your explant? Traci,

It troubles me that your doctor didn't do this long ago!

He may have a wonderful bedside manner, but staph infections aren't his speciality!

I can only suspect that he didn't want another doctor getting wind of what's been going on.

I hope that's not the case!

Hi Rogene,I figure what's in the past stays there. I have to think this way because my implanting PS told me there was nothing wrong to begin with. My surgeon has also involved the Chief of Surgery for Women's College Hospital in my case so this is good.I'll keep you posted.Hugs,Tracisaxony01 <saxony01@...> wrote: Traci, It troubles me that your doctor didn't do this long ago! Oh Traci,

You sure are having a battle with this infection! Good grief, it

just needs to go away! I'm glad everything else turned out okay, but

I will pray for healing. If you can just get that stupid infection

to go away, you can get better. It sounds like they need some big

guns about now.

I did hear from Brigitte recently. She wrote a long letter....she has

some very significant battles of her own that she is going through.

I need to respond to her....and I know she would love to hear from

you. She could really use all the friends she can find right now.

Will you write her?

Take care of yourself!

And get better!

Hugs,

Patty

I am so sorry you are having such

a challenging time with this RSD
