If you're asking if your cancer had been growing for many years, the answer

is yes. Thyca is extremely slow growing; my own encapsulated nodule was

about 1.5 cm, and my surgeon said it could have been growing there for 10

years.

This is also why thyca is frequently found in autopsies of people who have

died of something else, without their thyca ever having been diagnosed.
