I have to say.. some people can easily become

addicted to things.. that they have been

prescribed by their dr... even when they take it

as they should.... Its happened to me.. but I

react very very very very strongly to meds to

start off with.. and at the same time.. lose

dosages of most psych drugs are very ineffective

for me...

it does happen.. and a lot of psych drugs are

very addicting to begin with.. especially the way

some PDocs will pill push.. thats to the HMOs ...

its horrible that it happens.. but oh does it..

as for reading information.. my PDoc always

encouraged me.. and I'm sure other's .. to read

up on things.. he thinks patients should be

involved in their own care.. certainly not

prescribing drugs and stuff.. but able to give

input..

Allicia,

I'm probably over stepping my bounds here, but when you mentioned the money

situation regarding your folks, are you on their insurance? If not, is

there a way you could move back home to get on their insurance? This is a

difficult situation for any parent. If insurance is a problem, then money

does become a consideration. In some thing similar, not long after my

husband & I married, he changed jobs, and we had no medical insurance. If

the situation had come up then that I am in now, I know we would not have

been able to absorb the vast medical costs that have come up.

This is just a suggestion, one I hope helps.

Carol

I am soo scared...I just

don't know what to do..my parents don't want me going to another doctor

because they are looking at $$ situation..I can't work because I can't stay

awake longer than 6 hours. Plus I can't stand on my feet longer than 1 hour

without my legs litterally stiffing to the point where I can't bend them. I

feel like I am at a stopping point with no where to go...somedays I just

wish

the sun would stop shining and others I am soo thankful it is...I just don't

know what to do....One doctor tells you this another tells you that...what

or

who do you believe...I'm only 21 so I guess you could say I am not as smart

as most of the other folks on here when it comes to medical stuff...

reason the " if " when I read it .... left one line

and slid into another... damn vision.. lol... and
