My son has plagio, cranio, torticollis and hypospadias...looking for a link.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there could be a link to all these

disorders as my son has all of them and I've found two others online

that have all the same and then another local baby in my small town

with this. I think it has to be more than a coincidence. I was told

by two doctors there was no relation, but I beg to differ.

I will post some photos of my son soon and tell you his full story,

but wanted to post this now. He is 6 1/2 months old and will be

getting his hypospadias surgery this next Friday. He will get the

starband helmut on this Wednesday and has been getting phyical therapy

for the past few months for the torticollis, but mostly at home.. He

only has a mild metopic closed suture, but does have cranio....

Anyway I would like to know if anyone else has a little boy with

hypospadias and either cranio or plagio and torticillis going on. I

feel there may be a genetic link and want to find out. thanks

Janine,Welcome to the group. It has been nice to have these guys around for me. My son only has mild plagio, but he also has early closure of his metopic suture (not really dx of cranio because there is no triangulation, etc as seem with cranio). However, my son ALSO had hypospadias w/ chordee. his opening was halfway down the underside of his penis. I did a lot of research online, and found 1 link...even though it is very remote. A study in the UK has made a very weak link between these 2 conditions and a father who worked with chemicals such as diesel fuel (I can't remember the exact category but it was called something like biochemicals) at the time of conception. I found that strange because my husband is a dump truck driver, and is exposed to disiel fuel on a regular basis. I will see if I can find the article again and will give you the link.
