I also read in AI that if you were supplementing prior to the test, then it can also throw things off. I was supplementing heavily because of my gastric bypass. B-12 injections, double doses of multi's and vit D, K, B-50, Omega 3 etc... I want to do another hair analysis, but Andy says in AI that stopping supplements and retaking the hair test doesn't work. I guess it could be because of the progression of derangement you spoke of? ~Jackie wrote: I believe that Huggins knows nothing about deranged mineral transport, and calls any hair test with low mercury " retention toxicity " . ~Nahla~ Were you low with derangement? Dr. Huggins does offer some scientific reasoning for my low mwercury level...He bases it on the hair analysis and blood chemistry and CBC analysis. Here is what he wrote to me... " Mercury has an affinity for binding sites in the hemoglobin molecule. If this area is affected, there may be a lowering of the red blood cell count - the hematocrit, and/or the hemoblobin. If this lowering is accompanied a lowered total protein/globulin ratio (which it is in your case), mercury toxicity is more highly suspect... " There was more references to toxicity, but I think if there was something else wrong, it could also be explained as a result of that illness as well. Such as elevated Eosinphils and Basophils (white blood cells) etc... I think this just shows some immunity challenge. ~Nahla Recent Activity 6 New Members 3 New Links Visit Your Group Quote
