Guest guest
, I’m so glad there is a clinic in Dallas! I am having trouble restraining myself since my own dx. I’m quite sure that every problem everyone around me mentions would be cured by a gluten-free diet! When I learn how to walk the line between offering helpful information and being a busy-body, I hope I’ll be able to help others find health also. You’ll be a great resource for your gf parents now! They’re lucky to have you there. Clinics are places parents expect to have their assumptions challenged (a little bit). Laurie lbilyeu@... Guest guest
Oh hurray, thank you from me, too. I’m on the South Shore, Kristy, and have just been thinking about finding a GI. My primary diagnosed me, but I might want further testing for allergies also. I definitely don’t want to deal with the GI personality you describe. Doesn’t it figure that we have an actual Celiac Center right here in Boston? We have everything else! Stick to your guns. Donna Donna White in Boston new member, some quick questions Hi, I am Sally, mom to (Mattie) 6 1/2 who was just diagnosed with Celiac through biopsy. Unfortunately, Mattie has always had many sensory issues regarding food (Mattie is also special needs)So... many of the things he likes to eat have gluten in them and he doesn't eat typical stuff that doesn't have gluten like fruits and vegetables. We are hoping that this is the perfect opportunity to introduce natural gluten free foods back into his diet but think this will take awhile! So.. our big concern is that he will have a really rough time at first and I am hoping all of the experts in this group can help us out. His only symptom we noticed was delayed growth. So here are a few questions that I am sure many people have asked so I am sorry to do it again. 1) Is there any type of pretzel or goldfish cracker type that is gluten free out there? what about regular potato chips? 2) What about something similar to spaghettios? 3) Do I need to worry about ground beef at all? 4) Is there a tasty white bread out there? His staple was pb & j on martin's potato bread, store bought vs. homemade.. I guess that's it for now, please excuse my ignorance, brand new to this, thanks, Sally ============================================================================ Bingham McCutchen LLP Circular 230 Notice: To ensure compliance with IRS requirements, we inform you that any U.S. federal tax advice contained in this communication is not intended or written to be used, and cannot be used by any taxpayer, for the purpose of avoiding any federal tax penalties. Guest guest
Kristy, After dealing with docs that do not listen my only advice is to find a new doctor. you probably can't find one much worse and hopefully you will find one that will help you. I can also tell you the doctors that do not listen is not your problem but THEIRS! It is not anything you have done wrong and they need to listen to you. After all who is ultimately paying their paycheck? So I hope you can find one and not feel bad that you are changing. Gluten Free makes me feel good and it taste good too! Guest guest
Thanks . Ya know, it really does make you feel like you’re asking too much and being a pain. When in reality, the actual doctor is causing the pain because they are unable and unwilling to listen to you. Thanks for the advice. It really helps me too be strong and keep on truckin’. Thanks again, Kristy From: SillyYaks [mailto:SillyYaks ] On Behalf Of Marvin and Bjorge Sent: Wednesday, January 11, 2006 3:21 PM To: SillyYaks Subject: RE: new member, some quick questions Kristy, After dealing with docs that do not listen my only advice is to find a new doctor. you probably can't find one much worse and hopefully you will find one that will help you.
