After reading the last couple of posts I thought I'd give my 2

cents. I was just talking to my boyfriend today about having our son

checked. After I was dx 10 years ago they started checking my

sisters, 2 years later one of them started showing symptoms. She had

her biopsy done and yes she has it. Now I am worried that I have

passed this on to my son. At first we were told in was autoimmune

(SP?) then we were told it can be passed on, now the question is

should I have my son checked? He has labs done 3 times a year for

his thyroid so we're alreadyn there we may as well check?!?

That is so interesting. I seriously had no idea about this. I

looked up on IGA.ca and read what it says, but it sounds debatable,

you however, are proof that it is not impossible. Does anyone else

in your family (before you) have it?
