Guest guest
Hi everyone, This morning I weighed 248 lbs so that is a 4lb loss for a month. Not brilliant but I knew the 'slow down' would kick in soon after 3 months of much bigger losses. I must admit to feeling a bit disappointed at first with my loss for the month until two things happened this morning to jolt me back into reality. Firstly, as I weigh in kgs the figure 112.4 didn't mean all that much to me but when I converted it into pounds to post to WLB I realised that I have broken the 250 lb barrier - that's a good feeling!!! Secondly, I needed to carry 5 large books downstairs this morning so I put them in a bag. When I went to pick up the bag it was SOOOOOOOOOO heavy. I was really pleased that I didn't have to carry it too far. The scales were still out from my weigh-in so just for fun I stood on the scales without the books then picked up the bag and weighed myself again - the bag of books weighed 15 lbs. I was shocked to realise that since the beginning of this year I have already lost the equivalent of nearly 2 1/2 of those " too heavy to carry too far " bags. No wonder I was always puffing when I walked up the stairs carrying those 2 1/2 bags. It gives me a real incentive to get stuck into losing the next '6 and a bit' bags. I already feel the benefits of having lost 2.5 bags so I know how great it's going to feel to lost another 6+ !! Now for the question. When I joined the group late last year I remember receiving a warm welcoming message and lots of very helpful advice from a member called . It has just dawned on me that I have seen nothing from for ages. Does it happen often that active members suddenly disappear from the group? Does anyone know if is still around? Cheers for now from Marie 285/247/160(?)
