Hi Sue;

Deb asked for help in locating a medication dose calculator. There's

one available at:

http://www.psc-literature.org/dosecalc.htm

The calculator takes your weight in lb, and your daily dose of

medication in mg, and then gives you a calculation of dose in mg/kg

body weight/day.

Suppose your weight was 125 lb and your dose of ursodiol was 600 mg

per day, then the dose would be equal to 10.584 mg/kg body weight/day.

If your dose was 1200 mg/day then your dose would be equal to 21.168

mg/kg/day. Many in this group are taking high-doses ursodiol,

typically 25 - 30 mg/kg/day.

Best regards,

Dave
