Guest guest Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 , one other thing. Please pay close attention to the graph in AI, pg. 52. There will be a worsening of symptoms 3-6 months post-amalgam removal and then a return to slow improvements over time. This is the normal progression of detox and many people forget this. in Illinois Quote

This is getting scary for me. , I strongly suggest testing and treating your adrenals/thyroid soon, perhaps before you start chelation. At a *minimum* you should provide yourself more nutrients to support these glands. Quoting from Andy's book, " Mercury can interfere with the production of a hormone, the way it interacts with its receptor, or the way the receptor makes things happen in the cell. " Thyroid and adrenal function are often compromised and in my experience treating my adrenals helped with memory and attention. I'm sure you need to start chelating, as well, but I think it is wise to get at least some minimal adrenal/thyroid support in place first. > Do you think this may be due to my amalgam removal? Yes. After I had my amalgams removed, I got very hyper for a few weeks and then started having more problems, including the memory and attention thing. It was short term memory mainly, I could not hold a thought in my head from the beginning of a sentence until the end. Very distressing. I still get this sometimes and it means I need to start a round (but I would not want to do that without hormone support). > Should I start DMSA asap? It is somewhat a judgment call. For me personally, I wish I had started some adrenal support first, but my adrenals were in bad shape for a long time before starting. I didn't realize that at the time. Read the section in Andy's book on hormones and look up some info on the web about adrenal and thyroid problems and see if it sounds like you. The symptoms you describe over the last few years sound adrenal. Do you have low blood sugar issues, trouble sleeping, weight loss , low blood pressure? > I have 100mg DMSA tablets, cutting those into 12.5mg chunks seems a > bit tricky. There will be a worsening of > symptoms 3-6 months post-amalgam removal and then a return to slow improvements > over time. This is the normal progression of detox and many people forget this. Yes. This is vital and easily forgotten information leading to despondency and a scurry for new supplements to make us feel better, when actually we are on course. On page 237 HTI Andy says " Generally heavy metal detoxification involves and exponential decay in symptoms.......... Mercury is the exception to this, with a few months of improvement, several months of worsening and then slow improvements over many months " We need to remember that point and remind people about it often so they are prepared for the dip. Guest guest Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 From reading your post I would suggest probiotics. You are taking an antibiotic which you need but it will kill the good biotics your gut needs. Also, you need a lot of vitamin C post removal. It helps with the side effects of your body dumping mercury. So you may need up to 6,000mg a day. 2000mg a day is not very much, so more is worth a try. I can say I think most of us got sicker afterwards and had to begin chelation and supplements to feel better. I am not sure what's in your temporary crown, but it needs to be amalgam free before you can begin dmsa. I also began adrenal cortex extract. When the body starts dumping mercury it really hits your adrenal function. This helped me trememdously. You can purchase dmsa in 25mg capsules from Vitamin Research Products. DMSA will help. Just make sure to follow the supplements needed during chelation. And probiotics and yeast control. > > Hi Everyone, > > For the past few years I've been suffering from depression, anxiety, > fatigue and decreasing memory.
