Guest guest
Citrus Punch I just wanted to report that it's about time you can sit face to face with a doctor and have them tell you that your pituitary/hypothalamus is poisoned, rather than just read it in Cutler's book and Teitelbaum's book. I am now a patient at the Fibromyalgia/Fatigue Center here in Boston which opened the beginning of May. There are now about 15 centers in the US. They treat us just like Cutler talks about....They are treating hypothalamus/pituitary dysfunction/poisoning. They replace ALL your hormones despite normal lab tests. They use only bioidentical hormones made by a compounding pharmacy in Colorado. For me, my diagnosis was pituitary dysfunction, adrenal insufficiency, growth hormone deficiency, testosterone deficiency, progesterone deficiency, DHEA deficiency and pregnenolone deficiency. This place is truly unbelievable and you feel like you are finally understood and you become a partner in your healthcare rather than feeling intimidated or like you're crazy. They deal with the Fibromyalgia people a bit differently, since their needs differ from us Chronic fatiguers. I highly recommend them, although they do not accept insurance for the visits, they do bill your insurance for all the blood/labs, they do vitamin/mineral infusions, growth hormone injections (mine was too low) and many other complementary therapies. Unfortunately, you need money to be a patient here, but the good news is that you can apply for the Care credit card and use it to charge all your visits and any supplements they prescribe that you get from them, but it doesn't cover the bioidentical hormones you get from the compounding pharmacy. You can check out their website for a center nearest you, and you can call them for an information packet to be mailed to you which explains everything they do there. They do chelation, but I did not get into what their protocol is as I have my own chelation doctor who supports Cutler's protocol which I am doing. They do bring up the amalgam though and direct you from there. www.fibroandfatigue.com
