Hi my name is Suzi and I had my band put on July 25,2005. Dr Aceves and surgio the nurse were so good to me. Yolanda was my coordinator and she even took me shopping. I was very scared because I couldn't speak spanish but they did everything to get me through it and made me feel so at ease. I'm doing very good at home. It still is hard to get all that water down. Will write more in a few days.

Congrats Suzi,

I had my band done on Jul 18 and had a hard time getting the fluids in

but it gets easier.

I agree Dr. A and are a great team.

, so glad to hear you say that! You did have a rough time of it! I just noticed you and me have the same starting weight. I am 5 ft 5, how tall are you?

(Who just busted through another plateau by going on liquids for half a day yesterday. I am finally at 212!!)

Hi! I have never posted a message before. I hope I am doing this right! My son wore a helmet when we lived in MA. I didn't much care for it. I'm sure nobody actually likes it! Anyhow, we stopped treatment after a month or two because not only was he not improving, we think he actually got flatter while he was in the helmet. We moved a few months ago. I saw the cutest baby at the mall. He was wearing a helmet. And he wasn't sad about it at all! He didn't even seem to notice. It was a smaller helmet than the one we had. Much more open. It looks like the on the baby is wearing on the homepage. This mom said she didn't know if they used helmets on older kids. Does anyone know about this? And where can I get more information on this company? Thanks.

Hi and Welcome to the group. Like Hazel said the baby on the front

page has on a DOC band and he just graduated :)

Their website is www.cranialtech.com. They have a map with all of

their locations. How old is your child now? They will put a child

in a band at 18 months and then treat up to 24 months. Where are

you located?

Thank you and Hazel for replying. I wish I found out about this sooner. I would have prefered to get one of those DOC Bands. We got our helmet at Children's Hospital in Boston. They have a really good reputation. You'd think they'd use the better product. My son just turned two. I guess we will live with it.

Most of us have problems with bread, pasta, tortillas, etc. They're

all " gummy " and " sticky " , so they get stuck.....which is actually

good, since they're not foods that are that good for us or that

contribute to weight loss.

Yes, some of it is trial and error.

As to water, yes, drink it all the time except for the first 30 to 60

minutes AFTER meals. It is fine to drink right up until the first

bite, though.

Water is vital not only for health and life, but particularly so for

weight loss.
