Ultram is what I like to call a " love hate drug " it either works good or it doesn't work at all... It didn't help the IC, but it did make my fibro pain go away. My pain wasn't very bad at the time, but it did work. The company says it is not a NSAID and will not hurt your insides:-) The Ultram info isn't very exciting, but they have some great pain stretches and exercises on the site. I can't say that it takes away all of my pain, but it kind of works in the background and helps to keep my average everyday pain manageable. My doctor says that you must take it regularly for it to have any effect. It doesn't really touch severe breakthrough pain like I'm having today, unfortunately...
