Guest guest
There are several 5-ASA drugs now - sulfasalazine was the first, as far as I know. The array of 5-ASA drugs available is pretty impressive now. sulfasalazine (Azulfadine) mesalamine (Pentasa, Asacol, Mesasal, Salofalk) olsalazine (Dipentum) balsalazide (Colazal) The ones that were developed after sulfasalazine are typically well tolerated by those who are allergic to the sulfa component of sulfasalzine.
