I vaguely remember research/articles about inflammation,

predisone/steroids, and PSC. I tried searching our messages and

couldn't find the information. I'm probably not searching for the

" right " wording. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Terri

Hi Terri,

My name is Tammy and my now 50 yr old hubby was diagnosed about 1 1/2

yrs ago with autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) after originally being

diagnosed with PSC. He was on a high dose prednisone taper, starting

with 60 mg a day, tapering down to 5 mg, then off altogether. Rick

has several other autoimmune disorders as well, but he seems to be

doing much better. He has been having his IgG4 levels monitored as a

way to track his AIP, but he remains only slightly elevated. He does

have to be very careful with his diet (VERY low fat, no alcohol)and

does have ocassional pain (last night--we are not really sure what

brings it on, but it may be due to excessive physical work) but not as

bad as the cholangitis attacks he used to suffer from before prednisone.

I keep up on info thru a Journal called " Gut " on-line and I receive

alerts everytime a new article comes along regarding AIP and IgG4 levels.

Sounds like you folks are in the best of hands--we were never

fortunate enough to meet dr.Lindnor, but he sounds like a

compassionate, amazing physician!

We wish you well--you are welcome to email me privately if you'd like.

Tammy
