Thanks so much fof the information. At 18% function I would

think my nephrologist would be talking to me about preparing for

dialysis or at least being tested for a transplant as I know you

need to be ready if you suddenly need it. None have ever talked

to me about that at all. When I ask they change the subject and

say we need to get rid of the inflammation first, which I

understand but I am a person that wants to somewhat know

what to expect and know people have those fistulisa out in

months before needing. Am I correct? Thanks Billie

Hi Billie,

I have been told I am at 15-18% function. I am not a candidate for a tx and

they believe I have about 15 months until I need dialysis. I had a fistula

placed in my bicep about 2 months ago. I might have been a little early, but I

am a diabetic and take longer to heal.
