For anyone that has wondered just how insane I am.... I've also started recording my favorite books, reading them myself, so that I could turn them into MP3s to listen to while I work... the sound editor allows me to change the sound of my voice and do the editing.... One problem though, I've only been doing this 'a bit here and a bit there' and my voice changed! When I was more hypo, when I first started, my voice was deeper... so now the newer stuff doesn't sound quite the same.... but it's still kinda fun... when you can't afford to buy audio books and the library always seem to have the ones you want on reserve when you have a chance to go to town!! heheheheh

When I was more hypo,

when I first started, my voice was deeper... so now the newer stuff doesn't

sound quite the same

Isn’t that extraordinary

!! I guess if we recorded our voices more often we might learn something from

it.. ( unless we were The Queen , who sounds the same always ! Hahah!)

You have graves disease..one of the common symptoms of grave's

disease is insomnia.

I do suggest you take a look at the Grave's support forum here on

Yahoo as they can help you understand what is going on.

Methimazole should also be taken 3 times a day not twice. So I would

take 15 mg three times a day.. It will help bring your numbers down

quicker. When your numbers come down symptoms of being in overdrive

will calm down and you should be able to sleep better.

We've got a phone that you say the person's name into and if my voice drops it won't recognise it - I still notice it happening from time to time during the day, but then it feels different when I talk - almost like I'm having to force the words out, somehow:-)))) Love Chris

When I was more hypo, when I first started, my voice was deeper... so now the newer stuff doesn't sound quite the same

Isn’t that extraordinary !! I guess if we recorded our voices more often we might learn something from it.. ( unless we were The Queen , who sounds the same always ! Hahah!)

No, Dianne, I've not noticed that, but I am slightly self conscious of my voice at times, thinking it sounds very gruff, but the main problem is when the phone won't recognise it LOL! Do you have to repeat yourself with shop assistants then? Love Chris

Do you have to repeat yourself with shop assistants

then? Love Chris

Yes, & NOT ONLY THEM … Boo hoooooo makes one feel

so inadequate.. & yet if it is something I SHOULDN’T have said, they are on to it in a flash

... L

I had a total loss of voice for a while once.. and I

had therapy for it.. She told me I was all tensed up & I must relax my

diaphragm… which I did , and that was the end of my waistline L

Voice did come back eventually , but now & again

I do find it is not strong enough to be clear. Sigh….
