Guest guest
, You did a great job on the photos. She is adorable, mad but adorable, lol. I think you are proceeding in the right way. Because of the complex asymmetry of her head and the ridge it is definitely worth the CT scan. If the scan comes back clear for cranio then a band can help with alot of the asymmetry. I would however in this case recommend using Cranial Tech. for banding, they have the expertise needed to address a more complex case. You may end up like some of us who get a pretty great result but are left with some remaining asymmetry, but the correction you can get is so worth it. If it is cranio then there are many excellent surgeons who are using less invasive procedures now and that work with Cranial Tech. for post surgical banding. You can look up the clinic that you might use on their website and see the list of surgeons they work with. I hate to be so blunt, but don't want to sugar coat things either. I don't think that helps anyone. I will looking for your post to let us know what the scan shows. My prayers for a good outcome are with you and . CAROLG > > OK, here are her new pictures. So, if I do end up going for a DOC band, does that mean I have to drive 10 hours one way every week? How do you all do this? > > I finally got a call from 's old ped today. (I switched peds cuz her doc told me just to keep an eye on it and she'd see her in 2 months.) I told the doc I wasn't comfortable with doing nothing and she said we could do a CT scan to reassure me. I didn't tell her I already have one scheduled through her new doc. I asked her what we could do if the the CT scan rules out craniosynostosis and it's just plagio. Do you know what she told me?? " There's really nothing to be done for that. She'll just grow out of it. " Now, how is it possible that a Dr. feels this way? I'm so glad I changed docs. Anyway, if you could take a look at her pics I would appreciate it. > > Thanks for the warm welcome to the group. > > > Re: New and seeking guidance > > > , > It is tough to say what is going on without the CT scan, but she can > have a combination of plagio shapes.
