Guest guest
Hi Jack. Follow-up in just 4 weeks is almost lightning speed in the crazy world of nephrology. To me, your numbers look pretty much like one would expect for someone with moderately-advanced progressive renal insufficiency (ie. serum creatinine of 221). I'm not an expert on lab results, but the rest of your numbers seem consistent with that. Your cholesterol doesn't look too bad. I can't tell from these numbers what your 24 hour proteinuria is though. If the number is correct and it's in the usual units of measurement, your potassium is high - kind of like a number that might be a false one (this happens easily with potassium). Did your doctor mention anything about that? Are you on a low protein renal diet at this point? I'm not saying you should be, just curious as to whether you are.
