Guest guest Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 This test doesn't meet the counting rules, but it does show copper toxicity. You need to take a lot of molybdenum - very important for copper toxicity and you are very low. Do you have trouble with sulfites or phenols? You might find epsom salts helpful orally or bath). Of course, this is an old test, so if you have taken molyb since the test, you may not be as low. At that time, your Na/Mg was lowish suggesting low mood and energy. Are things about the same as when the test was done, or do you feel better or worse? With copper, Andy suggests doing hair tests fairly often to track the copper. You want to see it coming down. If you have not addressed the copper, I imagine it would be higher now, especially if you eat any high copper foods. -- > > POTENTIALLY TOXIC ELEMENTS > element result ref range color > ============================================= > aluminum 2.9 <12 GREEN > antimony <0.01 <0.06 GREEN > arsenic <0.01 <0.09 GREEN > beryllium <0.01 <0.02 GREEN > bismuth 0.037 <0.13 GREEN > cadmium <0.009 <0.1 GREEN > lead 0.21 <1.0 GREEN > mercury 0.08 <1.1 GREEN > platinum <0.003 <0.005 GREEN > thallium <0.001 <0.01 GREEN > thorium <0.001 <0.005 GREEN > uranium 0.013 <0.06 GREEN > nickel 0.13 <0.4 GREEN > silver 0.03 <0.1 GREEN > tin 0.17 <0.3 GREEN > titanium 1.0 <1.0 GREEN > > ESSENTIAL AND OTHER ELEMENTS > element result ref range color under/over 50% > ============================================================ > Calcium 1310 475 - 1500 green over > Magnesium 140 45 - 180 green over > Sodium 240 24 -180 yellow over > Potassium 63 20 - 80 green over > Copper 110 9.0 - 24 red over > Zinc 250 130 - 200 yellow over > Manganese 0.19 0.2 - 0.65 yellow under > Chromium 0.18 0.2 - 0.45 yellow under > Vanadium 0.028 0.018 - 0.065 green under > Molybdenum 0.025 0.04 - 0.1 red under > Boron 0.95 0.7 - 4.0 green under > Iodine 0.44 0.25 - 1.3 green under > Lithium 0.017 0.008 - 0.04 white - > Phosphorus 257 350 - 600 yellow under > Selenium 1.6 0.95 - 1.7 green over > Strontium 3.8 1.0 - 8.0 green under > Sulfur 45000 43000 - 50000 green under > Barium 1.1 0.5 - 5.0 green under > Cobalt 0.03 0.013 - 0.05 green over > Iron 17 5.8 - 14 yellow over > Germanium 0.011 0.045 -0.065 red under > Rubidium 0.053 0.03 - 0.25 green under > Zirconium 0.084 0.04 - 1.0 green under > Quote

Guest guest Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 Wow, thanks . Actually, the test is 3 yrs old. And, I feel worse now. My diet unfortunately was pretty awful - i was under so much stress I just gave in. Now I'm back to eating healthy but have such low energy it's hard. I react very well to sulphur. I love epsom salt baths. Just started taking NAC and it seems to boost me up. Any other sulphur boosts you can think of? Again, so kind of you to help me out here. Guest guest Posted October 8, 2006 Report Posted October 8, 2006 I spent a fortune on testing/supplements about 2 yrs ago. According to Dr. Rind (an osteopath) my adrenals were shot. Well, I tried his supplements - all gazillion of them but they didn't work. Plus I wasn't comfortable taking so many. I just feel I have to target the CAUSE of my adrenal/thyroid problems be it lyme,mercury,copper,arsenic. To me it just seems like treating a symptom and not getting at the cause. I agree you do need to target the cause, but now that I have tried Isocort, I agree with the ones here that say you need to treat your adrenals and thyroid, and you'll feel better during chelation, and hopefully with enough chelation, we will eventually be able to get off of these things. So don't be afraid to try it, and we are not telling you to not get to the underlying cause of all of this. I think a new hair test is highly warranted in your case.--------Jackie T. Val, I had kind of the opposite situation -- I was sure mercury toxicity was the cause, and thinking that if I took care of that, the other problems (especially adrenal) would be resolved. I've now been on Cortef for only a week and feel so much better it's shocking. I feel *normal. Andy says the biggest problem Hg-poisoned people have is untreated adrenal fatigue, and once again, he is right. You can work on getting that fixed (boy do I recommend giving Cortef a trial!) and then when you're feeling stable, move on to figuring out the causes. Poor adrenal function made me feel hopeless, exhausted, resigned, and foggy. It's almost impossible to work through Andy's book or explore other avenues in that kind of condition. If I got a do-over I'd treat adrenals/thyroid first thing. Nell Quote
